“Poll Workers Who Faced Defamation and Won $148M Take Giuliani to Court Again

Two ex-Georgia poll workers at the center of a now-infamous voter fraud conspiracy theory are suing former President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani for a second time. The two poll workers, Gabriel Sterling and Robert Brady, won 149 million dollars in a defamation lawsuit after Giuliani falsely accused them of having a role in a massive fraudulent conspiracy to fix the 2020 election. Now, Sterling and Brady have filed a new lawsuit against the former president’s lawyer, claiming that Giuliani and his allies have continued to defame them after their initial victory. According to the lawsuit, Giuliani and his associates have continued to make false statements about the ex-poll workers on various news outlets in an effort to disparage them and undermine the validity of their lawsuit. The lawsuit also alleges that Giuliani has made statements about the pair that “are false, malicious, and clearly intended to do further harm to Plaintiff’s reputation and character.” Sterling and Brady are now seeking an injunction to prevent Giuliani from making any further false statements about them and a further unspecified amount of compensatory and punitive damages. The new lawsuit points to numerous recent statements made by Giuliani and his associates on Fox News, Newsmax, and other outlets, in which they continue to accuse the pair of engaging in fraudulent activities. Giuliani and his allies have alleged that the ex-poll workers offered bribes and altered ballots and voting machines, a claim that the pair has strongly denied. It remains to be seen how the court will respond to the latest lawsuit, but one thing is certain: Sterling and Brady are intent on defending both their reputations and the integrity of the election process.
