Unstoppable Israeli Warriors: Conquering Adversity Despite Rising Risks

The ongoing conflict between Israelis and Palestinians is a complex conflict that has been raging for decades with no signs of an end in sight. Despite the numerous attempts at peace negotiations and the intermittent ceasefires, each side continues to attack each other inflicting heavy losses on both sides. Despite the mounting losses, Israel refuses to stand down and insists on continuing the fight. The primary motivation for Israel’s insistence on continuing its fight is rooted in its desire to protect its people from both foreign and domestic threats and for national security. Israel often cites its need to ensure its own sovereignty and protect its individual and collective rights as its primary justification for continuing its military engagements. Israel also faces multiple threats from hostile neighbors such as Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. These hostile neighbors have openly declared their intentions to destroy the state of Israel. Another factor that compels Israel to continue fighting is the unresolved claims of the Palestinians on Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip over the past 50 plus years. This has been a major point of contention between Israel and its Palestinian neighbors as the Palestinians seek a two-state solution wherein Israel returns land back to the Palestinians. Until this matter can be resolved, tensions between the two sides will remain high, thus making it necessary for Israel to do whatever is necessary to protect its borders from external threats. In addition, Israel has had to maintain a strong military presence in the region to fend off attacks by Hezbollah, Hamas and other militant groups. It is for this reason that even though, casualties continue to mount, the nation is unwavering in its commitment to protect its people and preserve the nation’s safety. From Israel’s perspective, the conflict is not merely a clash of ideologies, but rather a clash of civilizations, in which Israeli and Palestinian nations both fight for their own visions for their respective homelands. As long as the conflict remains unresolved, Israel will continue to fight and accept the losses, all in service of preserving its national identity.
