Unlock the Power of Nevada’s Lithium Clays for Your Super Critical Carbon Dioxide Extraction Testing, Gemini Lithium Project, Nevada
The Gemini Lithium Project in Nevada’s Clayton Valley has received a major boost from Nevada Sunrise Gold. Nevada Sunrise has provided a supply of lithium-mineralized clays for Super Critical Carbon Dioxide (SCCO2) Extraction Testing. This milestone expands the use of the SCCO2 extraction process for potential recovery of lithium from clays located at the center of the Gemini Project area.
The SCCO2 extraction process stems from the Hatch Group at the University of Nevada-Reno, which initially developed the process for extracting lithium, rubidium and other high-value elements from Nevada clays. Each step in the process is designed to optimize the production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
The high-grade production grade lithium clays provided by Nevada Sunrise will be supplemented with other clays from the Gemini property for the testing program. This will provide a holistic approach to evaluating the effectiveness of the SCCO2 process for use in the extraction of lithium from the area’s lithium-bearing clays.
The Gemini Lithium Project presents a unique opportunity for Nevada Sunrise Gold to develop a vertically integrated lithium project, with an on-site exploration program that will explore the potential for an extensive and diversified operation. The very nature of the project, focused on the source of the lithium, also presents an opportunity for rapid development due to reduced required environmental permits.
This combined with the newly supplied lithium mineralized clays from the Nevada Sunrise targeting SCCO2 testing allows for a potential world-scale lithium project and electrifies the existing lithium industry in Nevada. It is also hoped that this project will spark more investments and overall growth within the Nevada lithium space, ultimately improving local economies.
