“Osisko Metals Drills Up 33m Grading 11.26% Zinc and 2.71% Lead at Pine Point”

Osisko Metals, a Canadian-based mining company that is focused on developing zinc mineral deposits, recently announced positive drill results from their Pine Point lead-zinc project located in Northwest Territories of Canada. According to the press release, Osisko Metals encountered up to 33.00 metres of mineralization grading from 11.26% zinc and 2.71% lead. Osisko believes that these results are positive and supportive to their current exploration program. This Pine Point project hosted and mined by Cominco Ltd. until 1997, and general manager of Osisko Metals Cory Belyk believes that this newest round of drill results makes it a “highly prospective exploration deposit”. Osisko Metals has a current 43-101 report which values the preseason mineral resources at 454.3 million tonnes with the average grade of 2.37% zinc, 1.03% lead, and 7.93% combined lead-zinc. Osisko has plans to increase their exploration efforts to expand and expand the overall mineral resources at the Pine Point project and much of the current drill activity is focused on the southern part of the property where only limited drilling has been done. With these recent drill results, Osisko Metals continues their quest to develop and expand the mineral deposits that they believe are still at the Pine Point polymetallic deposit. Their experienced management team is confident in their ability to develop and evaluate a long-term production scenario. Osisko Metals’ results shows promise and could provide a welcome boost to Canada’s mining industry in the future.
